Ingredients

๐ง 1/2 teaspoon salt

1 6oz can tomato paste
๐ฅฉ 2 pounds of ground beef chuck
๐ 2 cups chicken stock

28oz can of crushed tomatoes
๐ฟ 1 tablespoon oregano
๐ถ๏ธ 1 teaspoon chili flakes (or to taste)
๐ง 1/2 tablespoon salt
๐ง 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
๐ฅ 1 cup heavy cream
๐ง 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
๐ 1 lb Mezzi Rigatoni (boil according to package instructions)
๐ฟ Garnish with Parmesan cheese and parsley
Instructions
1- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 325ยฐF (160ยฐC).
2- Prepare Vegetables:
- Place celery, carrots, onions, and garlic in a food processor.
- Pulse until finely minced.
3- Cook Vegetables:
- In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
- Add minced vegetables, season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and black pepper.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes until soft and translucent.
4- Add Tomato Paste:
- Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes until slightly darkened.
5- Brown the Beef:
- Add the ground beef chuck to the pot.
- Break it up with a wooden spoon and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
6- Build the Sauce:
- Pour in the chicken stock and crushed tomatoes.
- Add oregano, chili flakes, 1/2 tablespoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
- Stir well.
7- Bake in Oven:
- Bring the sauce to a boil.
- Cover with a lid and place in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 1 hour and 35 minutes, stirring halfway through.
8- Finish Bolognese:
- Remove pot from oven.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
- Return covered pot to oven for 45 minutes to an hour, stirring once halfway through.
9- Cook Pasta:
- Meanwhile, boil Mezzi Rigatoni according to package instructions.
- Drain well.
10- Combine and Serve:
- Toss the rigatoni with the rich Bolognese sauce.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley.
