Ingredients
๐ 3 chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
๐ฅ 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
๐ซ 2 tablespoons olive oil
๐ 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
๐ถ๏ธ 1 teaspoon paprika
๐ง 1 teaspoon salt
๐ง 1 teaspoon garlic powder
๐ถ๏ธ 1 teaspoon chili powder
๐ฟ 1/2 teaspoon coriander
๐ฟ 1/2 teaspoon cumin
๐ Juice of 1/2 a lemon
๐ง
1 red onion, cut into chunks
๐ถ๏ธ 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
๐ฟ 10 wooden skewers
Instructions
1- Marinate the Chicken:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken breast cubes with plain yogurt, olive oil, lemon pepper, paprika, salt, garlic powder, chili powder, coriander, cumin, and lemon juice.
- Mix well to ensure the chicken is thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate the mixture, allowing it to marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
2- Prepare the Skewers:
- While the chicken marinates, soak the wooden skewers in water for approximately 30 minutes.
- This will prevent them from burning during the cooking process.
3- Prepare the Vegetables:
- Cut the red onion and red bell pepper into chunks, roughly the same size as the chicken pieces, and set aside.
4- Assemble the Skewers:
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of onion and bell pepper.
5- Cook in the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Place the skewers in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
- Cook for 15 minutes, turning the skewers halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. The chicken should be cooked through and lightly charred on the edges.
6- Serve and Enjoy:
- Once cooked, remove the skewers from the air fryer and serve hot.
- Enjoy them as a main dish or appetizer!
