Ingredients

📦 1 box chocolate cake mix
🥫 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
🥫 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
🥫 1 (7.6 oz) can table cream
🥚 4 large eggs
🍦 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
🍯 1 (14 oz) jar caramel sauce

Instructions

1- Prepare the Cake Batter:

  • Start by preparing the chocolate cake mix as per the instructions on the box. Set aside.

2- Make the Flan Mixture:

  • In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, table cream, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

3- Prepare the Baking Pan:

  • Generously spray a Bundt pan or cake pan with cooking spray.
  • Pour the caramel sauce into the bottom of the pan, spreading it evenly. You can use the entire jar or just half, based on your preference.

4- Assemble the Cake:

  • Pour the prepared chocolate cake batter over the caramel sauce in the pan.
  • Gently pour the flan mixture over the cake batter. It will naturally separate during baking.

5- Prepare the Water Bath:

  • Place the cake pan inside a larger roasting pan.
  • Fill the roasting pan with about 2 inches of hot water.

6- Bake the Cake:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cover the cake pan with a piece of foil sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Carefully place the roasting pan with the cake pan inside in the oven.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 30 to 40 minutes.

7- Cool and Serve:

  • After baking, remove the cake pan from the water bath and allow the cake to cool for at least 2 to 3 hours.
  • Once cooled, carefully invert the cake onto a serving plate.
