Ingredients
🥩 4-5 pounds of chuck roast
🧄 2 cloves of garlic, minced
🥕 Carrots (about 3 large, sliced)
🥔 Potatoes (about 4 medium, quartered)
🌿 1 tablespoon of thyme
🌿 1 tablespoon of rosemary
🧄 1 tablespoon of salt
⚫ 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper
🍖 1 cup of beef broth
🍶 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
🧅 1 box of onion soup mix (2 packets inside)
🍇 Celery (2 stalks, chopped)
Instructions
1- Season and Sear:
- Lightly coat the pressure cooker with oil and set it to the Browning mode.
- Rub the chuck roast with salt, thyme, rosemary, and black pepper.
- Place the roast in the pressure cooker and brown it on all sides to lock in flavor. Remove and set aside.
2- Sauté Garlic:
- Add the minced garlic to the bottom of the cooker, sautéing briefly until fragrant.
3- Layer Ingredients:
- Return the browned roast to the cooker.
- Layer with carrots, potatoes, and celery on top of the meat.
4- Add Flavor Elements:
- Sprinkle the contents of the onion soup mix over the vegetables.
- Drizzle Worcestershire sauce and pour in the beef broth.
5- Cook Under Pressure:
- Cancel the Browning mode.
- Seal the pressure cooker and set it to the Meat function.
- Cook for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
6- Release and Serve:
- Once done, carefully release pressure following your cooker’s instructions.
- Remove the lid, shred the roast, and serve with the cooked vegetables.
