๐ŸŒฟ 1 tablespoon oregano
๐Ÿง‚ 1 tablespoon salt
๐ŸŒถ๏ธ 1 packet Sazรณn
๐ŸŒถ๏ธ 1 teaspoon black pepper
๐Ÿซ— 2 cups beef broth
๐ŸŒฟ 2 bay leaves
๐Ÿ‹ Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

1- Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 325ยฐF (165ยฐC).

2- Sear Beef:

  • Heat a pan or Dutch oven over high heat and add the oil.
  • Sear the beef on all sides to lock in the flavors.
  • Once browned, remove the beef and set it aside. Repeat if necessary until all beef is seared.

3- Sautรฉ Aromatics:

  • In the same pan, add the diced onion and garlic.
  • Sautรฉ for a couple of minutes until the onions become translucent.

4- Add Tomatoes and Peppers:

  • Add in the diced tomatoes with green chilies and chipotle peppers along with the adobo sauce.
  • Adjust the peppers to your spice preference.
  • Crush the chipotle peppers with your hand or a spoon to mix well.

5- Season:

  • Season the mixture with cumin, oregano, salt, Sazรณn, and black pepper.
  • Stir well to combine the spices.

6- Combine and Add Broth:

  • Return the seared beef to the pot and pour the beef broth over it.
  • Add the bay leaves on top.

7- Prepare for Baking:

  • Place the pot in the preheated oven and bake for 3 hours and 30 minutes.

9- Shred and Serve:

  • After baking, add lime juice over the cooked beef and start shredding it using two forks.
