Tiramisu is a beloved Italian dessert known for its rich flavors and creamy texture. This classic recipe combines coffee-soaked ladyfingers with a luxurious mascarpone cream, making for a delectable treat that's perfect for any occasion. Enjoy this no-bake dessert that captures the essence of comfort and sophistication.

Ingredients

๐Ÿช 4 sleeves of ladyfingers (40 to 45 pieces)
๐Ÿฅ› 2 cups heavy whipping cream
๐Ÿง€ 8 oz mascarpone cheese
๐Ÿฅš 4 egg yolks
๐Ÿš 3/4 cup sugar
๐Ÿฆ 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
โ˜• 2 tablespoons instant coffee
๐Ÿ’ง 2 cups warm water (to mix with the coffee)
๐Ÿซ Cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

1- Prepare the Mascarpone Cream:

  • In a large heatproof bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar.
  • Place the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water to create a double boiler. Ensure the bowl's base does not touch the water.
  • Whisk continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture slightly thickens and turns a light yellow color, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.

2- Combine Ingredients:

  • In a stand mixer bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, cooled egg mixture, vanilla extract, and heavy cream.
  • Use the whisk attachment to beat the mixture until soft peaks form, which should take around 2-3 minutes.

3- Prepare the Coffee Mixture:

  • Mix the warm water and instant coffee in a bowl to create the coffee-soaking liquid for the ladyfingers.

4- Assemble the Tiramisu:

  • Dunk each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring all sides are evenly moistened.
  • Arrange the dipped ladyfingers in rows on the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the first layer of ladyfingers.
  • Repeat the dunking and arranging process to create a second layer, and then spread the remaining mascarpone mixture over the top.
  • Dust the top with cocoa powder.

5- Refrigerate and Serve:

  • Refrigerate the tiramisu for 6-8 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to set.
  • Serve chilled, and enjoy your delightful homemade tiramisu!
