Ingredients

🧂 1 cup brown sugar
🍬 1/2 cup granulated sugar (cane sugar preferred)

Instructions

1- Prepare the Baking Sheets:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line your baking sheets with parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.

2- Melt the Butter:

  • Melt the 2 sticks of unsalted butter using a microwave or a small saucepan over low heat.
  • Let it cool slightly.

3- Mix the Wet Ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, continuing to whisk until well combined and the mixture is smooth.

4- Combine Dry Ingredients:

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring with a spatula until fully incorporated and there are no visible streaks of flour.

5- Fold in Chocolate Chips:

  • Gently fold in 2 cups of the chocolate chips into the dough, reserving the remaining 1/4 cup for topping the cookies.
  • Ensure the chips are well distributed throughout the dough.

6- Shape the Cookies:

  • Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop even portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, allowing space for spreading.
