Enjoy a delightful fusion of flavors with this Broccoli Cheddar Stuffed Flatbread. This dish combines the nutritious goodness of broccoli with the creamy richness of cheddar cheese, all encased in a perfectly toasted flatbread. Perfect for a comforting meal, it's a great option for a quick lunch or a light dinner.

Ingredients

🥦 4 heads of broccoli
🧀 1 (16oz) jar of double cheddar cheese sauce
🧅 1 onion
🧄 2 cloves of garlic
🧂 2 tablespoons of salt
🍗 1 tablespoon of chicken bouillon
🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
🛢️ 2 tablespoons of oil
🍞 30 to 35 Rhodes dinner rolls

Instructions

1- Prepare the Dough:

  • Take the dinner rolls out of the freezer and let them thaw for 20-30 minutes at room temperature or until completely thawed.

2- Prepare the Filling:

  • Chop the onion, garlic, and broccoli finely. You can use a Ninja chopper for the broccoli for convenience.
  • Heat a pot over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes or until the onions start to change color.
  • Add the chopped broccoli, chicken bouillon, and black pepper to the pot. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still vibrant.
  • Mix in the cheddar cheese sauce. Combine thoroughly and let the mixture cool completely.

3- Assemble the Flatbreads:

  • Once the dough is thawed, roll each dinner roll into a flat, circular shape.
  • Place a spoonful of the broccoli cheddar mixture in the center of each rolled-out dough.
  • Fold one side over to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal.

4- Cook the Flatbreads:

  • Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the stuffed flatbreads into the skillet and cook for approximately 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

5- Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve warm and enjoy fresh, gooey Broccoli Cheddar Stuffed Flatbreads.
