Instructions
1- Caramelize the Onions:
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Once the butter has melted, add the chopped onions and sprinkle with salt.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden. Set aside.
2- Prepare the Ground Beef:
- In another skillet over high heat, add the ground beef.
- Season it with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and mustard.
- Cook the mixture thoroughly for about 10 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
3- Assemble the Quesadillas:
- Lightly spray a nonstick skillet with avocado cooking spray and heat over medium to low heat.
- Place a flour tortilla in the skillet, and on one half, sprinkle a layer of cheese.
- Add a portion of the beef mixture and caramelized onions, followed by another layer of cheese.
