These delicious and easy chicken wraps are a delightful twist on a classic favorite, featuring tender, seasoned chicken paired with a homemade copycat Raising Cane’s sauce. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, they offer an explosion of flavors and textures in every bite.
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
🍗 2 lb chicken tenders (or chicken thighs or breasts)
🧄 1 tablespoon garlic powder
🧅 1 tablespoon onion powder
🍋 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
🌶️ 1 tablespoon paprika
🌿 1 tablespoon oregano
🌶️ 1 teaspoon chili flakes (or to taste)
🧂 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
🌶️ 1 packet of sazon
🍋 Juice of 1 lemon
🫒 1/3 cup olive oil
For the Sauce:
🥄 1 cup mayonnaise
🍅 1/3 cup ketchup
🥣 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
🧅 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
🧄 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Other Ingredients:
🌯 Large flour tortillas
🍅 Tomatoes, diced
🧅 Red onion, sliced
🥬 Lettuce, chopped
🥄 Cooking spray (optional, for toasting wraps)
Instructions
1- Prepare the Chicken:
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
- Add all the seasonings and the juice of one lemon.
- Toss well to coat the chicken evenly and set aside while you prepare the other ingredients.
2- Prepare the Vegetables:
- Wash and chop the lettuce.
- Dice the tomatoes.
- Slice the red onion.
3- Make the Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients: mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Mix well until smooth.
4- Cook the Chicken:
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, drizzle in the olive oil.
- Add the marinated chicken pieces.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
5- Assemble the Wraps:
- On each flour tortilla, layer the chopped lettuce, cooked chicken, diced tomatoes, and sliced onions.
- Drizzle with the prepared sauce.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla first, then fold over the long edge, tucking it under the filling, and roll to create a tight burrito shape.
6- Toast the Wraps:
- Optional: Lightly spray a pan with cooking spray and place the wraps seam-side down.
- Toast over medium heat, turning to brown all sides until golden and crispy.
7- Serve:
- Serve the wraps with additional sauce on the side and enjoy!
