Ingredients
🥩 1 pound ground beef
🌶 2 packets chili seasoning
🧅 1 medium onion, chopped
🧄 3 cloves garlic, chopped
🫑 1 bell pepper (any color), chopped
🍅 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
🫘 1 can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
🫘 1 can Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
🍅 2 tablespoons tomato paste
🥣 2 cups beef broth
🐓 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
🌶 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1- Brown the Beef:
- In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground beef.
- Once browned, drain any excess fat.
2- Cook Vegetables:
- Add the chopped garlic, onion, and bell pepper to the pot.
- Stir and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 3-5 minutes.
3- Add Remaining Ingredients:
- Mix in the diced tomatoes, red kidney beans, Great Northern beans, chili seasoning, chicken bouillon, black pepper, and tomato paste.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
4- Simmer:
- Pour in the beef broth, giving the mixture a final stir.
- Cover the pot, reduce the heat to medium-low, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together beautifully.
5- Serve:
- Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, jalapeño slices, and shredded cheddar cheese.
