Ingredients
🥩 2 pounds of ground beef
🌮 2 packets of taco seasoning
🌯 Large flour tortillas
🍽️ Tostadas
🧀 Queso
🌶️ Hot sauce (such as Taco Bell's)
🥬 Lettuce
🍅 Tomato
🧀 Shredded cheese (mozzarella or a cheese mix)
🥑 Guacamole
🍶 Sour cream
Instructions
1- Brown the Beef:
- Place the ground beef in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
- Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it into smaller pieces with a spoon.
2- Season the Meat:
- Drain any excess oil from the beef.
- Add the taco seasoning packets and half a cup of water to the skillet.
- Stir until the beef is evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Let it simmer until the water has mostly evaporated, making sure the meat stays moist.
3- Prepare the Assembly Line:
- Set up your ingredients for easy assembly: cooked beef, tostadas, queso, hot sauce, lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and flour tortillas.
- Cut some of the larger tortillas into smaller circles to use as tops for the Crunchwraps.
4- Assemble the Crunchwrap:
- Lay a large flour tortilla on a flat surface.
- Spread a layer of queso onto the tortilla.
- Add a generous portion of the seasoned beef on top.
- Place a tostada on the beef layer.
- Top the tostada with diced tomatoes, lettuce, a drizzle of hot sauce, and a dollop of sour cream.
- Add a spoonful of guacamole and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
- Place one of the smaller tortilla circles over the top of your fillings.
5- Fold the Crunchwrap:
- Gently fold the edges of the large tortilla up, enclosing the fillings completely.
- The smaller tortilla should help secure the toppings inside.
6- Toast the Crunchwrap:
- Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly spray with cooking oil.
- Place the Crunchwrap folded-side down onto the skillet.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
7- Serve:
- Remove the Crunchwrap from the skillet and let it cool slightly before cutting in half.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
