Mashed Potatoes

Instructions
1- Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
- Boil Potatoes: Boil peeled and diced potatoes in salted water until fork tender.
- Mash Potatoes: Drain and return them to the pot. Add butter, warm milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
2- Cook the Meat Filling:
- Sautรฉ Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and celery. Sautรฉ for a few minutes until softened.
- Brown the Meat: Add ground beef to the pan. Cook until browned and crumbled.
- Seasoning and Mix: Stir in salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, and garlic powder. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, gravy mix, and broth. Mix well.
- Simmer: Add frozen peas and carrots. Mix again, cover, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
3- Assemble the Pie:
- Layer: Spread the meat filling evenly in a baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes.
- Cheese Topping: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the mashed potatoes.
4- Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Bake in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
