Ingredients

For the Cake:
🥚 4 eggs
🍚 1 cup sugar
🥄 1 cup oil
🍦 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

🥫 1 (12oz) can evaporated milk

Instructions

1- Preheat & Prepare:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

2- Make the Cake Batter:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until the mixture becomes pale and fluffy.
  • Slowly add the oil, continuing to whisk until well combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, ensuring no lumps remain.

3- Bake the Cake:

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

4- Prepare the Milk Mixture:

  • While the cake is baking, combine the milk, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk in a medium bowl. Stir until well mixed.

5- Soak the Cake:

  • Once the cake is done baking, let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Using a skewer or fork, poke holes all over the cake.
  • Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to be absorbed gradually.

6- Prepare the Whipped Cream Topping:

  • In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form.
