Ingredients
🥩 1 pound ground beef
🧅 1/2 a large onion or 1 small onion
🌿 1/2 cup parsley
🌶️ 1 jalapeño
🧄 3 cloves garlic
🧂 1 teaspoon salt
🧄 1 teaspoon garlic powder
🌶️ 1 teaspoon black pepper
🧅 1 teaspoon onion powder
🌶️ 1 teaspoon paprika
🌿 1 teaspoon cumin
🥐 2 sheets puff pastry (cut each in half lengthwise)
🥚 1 egg
🌾 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Instructions
1- Thaw and Preheat:
- Remove the puff pastry from the freezer and let it thaw on the counter for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2- Mix Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with minced onion, parsley, jalapeño, and garlic.
- Season the meat mixture with salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, paprika, and cumin. Mix until well combined.
3- Prepare Pastry:
- Transfer the meat mixture into a ziplock bag and snip a 1/2 inch hole in one of the corners.
- Place a sheet of puff pastry on a cutting board and slice it in half lengthwise. Repeat with the other sheet, resulting in four pieces.
4- Fill and Roll:
- Pipe the meat mixture lengthwise about 2/3 of the way along each pastry strip, shaping it into a log.
- Tightly roll the pastry around the meat to seal it. Repeat with each pastry strip.
5- Cut and Bake:
- Cut each roll into seven equal pieces and place them seam-side down on a lined baking tray, ensuring space for expansion while baking.
- Brush the tops and sides of the rolls with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
6- Bake Till Golden:
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the rolls are golden brown. Serve warm with your preferred dips and enjoy!
