Ingredients

๐ถ๏ธ 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
๐ฅ 1.5 cups heavy cream
๐ง 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
๐ฆ 1 cup reserved pasta water
๐ฟ Fresh basil

Instructions
1- Prepare Ingredients:
- Dice the onion and mince the garlic cloves.
2- Cook Pasta:
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
- Cook your preferred pasta according to the package directions.
- Before straining, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water.
3- Sautรฉ Aromatics:
- Place a pan over medium-high heat and add the butter and olive oil.
- Sautรฉ the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant, approximately 2 minutes.
4- Make Sauce:
- Stir in the tomato paste, cooking for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the chili flakes and mix well.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir thoroughly.
- Let it simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
5- Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce along with the grated Parmesan cheese and reserved pasta water.
- Toss until the cheese melts and the pasta is thoroughly coated in the creamy sauce.
6- Garnish and Serve:
- Finish by adding fresh basil to the pasta.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
